No Words!
Hurricane Melissa made landfall in Jamaica on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 around 1:00 p.m. EDT. It struck as a Category 5 hurricane between the southwestern towns of Belmont and New Hope in the parish of Westmoreland. It arrived with maximum sustained winds of 185 mph. This was the strongest Atlantic hurricane on record to make landfall in Jamaica.
Our beloved people of Jamaica are enduring tremendous hardship in the wake of the recent hurricane Melissa. Homes have been destroyed, livelihoods disrupted, and many families are now facing urgent needs as they begin the long road to recovery.
We are called to be the hands and feet of Jesus offering comfort, hope, and practical care to those who are suffering. As a ministry rooted in Christ’s love and method of service, Mission Saint Faith is stepping forward to support our Jamaican brothers and sisters in this time of distress. Let us come together in unity and compassion.
Every gift large or small is a blessing and a reflection of God’s heart for His people. Thank you for your love, your prayers, and your generosity. Together, may we shine God’s light on a moment of great need.
